the Early Thai-type pepper. Unearthed in 2016 at a bustling market in Budapest, this variety offers remarkable advantages such as earlier maturity and a more consistent fruit size. Despite its origin from Hungary, it possesses the distinct characteristics of small fruit size and intense spiciness reminiscent of a Thai chile. The fruits grow upright on compact plants, which not only bear fruit earlier than traditional Thai pepper varieties but also thrive in regions with cooler summers. Similar to the discontinued Bangkok variety, the Early Thai-type pepper boasts comparable fruit size and fiery heat.
